This site is a tribute to Mike, who was born in Abergavenny on July 22, 1939. A much loved dad, grandad, brother and uncle, and loving husband to the late Janet Folland. Mike was a physics teacher at Carres Grammar School in Sleaford for over 25 years and since retirement a principle examiner with the Cambridge Exam Board, working as a consultant until very recently. An ironman triathlete and founder member of Sleaford Rugby Club, he was well known for his love of sport and the outdoors. Mike had run numerous marathons and was still doing the Park Run up until a few months ago. He also very recently completed walking the length of the Viking Way! Sadly he passed away after a short illness on Sunday 25 June. Mike touched the lives of so many people and will live on in our hearts forever. Thank you, Heidi, Anna and Jonathan, and family.
